Job summary

Averro is seeking a contract-to-hire Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer in Moses Lake, WA. You will develop CNC programs and process plans for flight-test parts, select tooling, and coordinate heat treat, EDM, and grinding processes.

You will partner with design, purchasing, and QA to optimize methods and resolve tooling issues. The role supports build plans, scheduling, cost tracking, and configuration control, while leading technical modifications for flight test systems integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Avionics, or related).
• 5+ years of aerospace manufacturing engineering experience, including multi-axis CNC programming and operation.
• Knowledge of 3/4/5-axis machining, composites, welding, sheet metal, flight structures, and wire diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Develop process plans and CNC programs for flight test and wind tunnel model parts and assemblies.
• Select tooling, design fixtures, and order material and cutters; coordinate outside processes (heat treat, EDM, grinding).
• Partner with Design Engineers, Purchasing, Operators, and QA to optimize methods and resolve part and tooling issues.
• Support build plans, scheduling, cost tracking, and configuration control; provide shop floor documentation.
• Lead technical modification work (assembly, installation, wiring) and support flight test system integration.
