Job summary

Whippany Actuation Systems seeks a Manufacturing Engineer (Machine Shop) for its 2nd shift to develop and optimize CNC machining processes for aerospace-grade components. You will program milling and turning operations, select tooling and fixturing, and ensure manufacturability in cross‑functional teams with design, quality and production.

Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering, 3 years in high-tech manufacturing, and CNC/CAD proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
3 years of engineering experience in a high-technology manufacturing environment.
Experience with precision machining and CNC programming.
US work authorization.

Responsibilities

Develop, validate, and optimize CNC machining processes for new and existing components.
Program CNC machines for milling and turning operations.
Select tooling, cutting parameters, and fixturing to maximize quality and efficiency.
Create and revise CNC programs and set up documentation.
Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability.
Analyze cost drivers to drive waste reduction and productivity.
