WHIPPANY ACTUATION SYSTEMS LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Machine Shop- 2nd Shift) in Whippany, NJ. You will develop and optimize CNC machining processes for aerospace-grade actuation components, translating designs into manufacturable, high-quality parts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, aerospace, or mechanical engineering.
3 years’ engineering experience in a high technology manufacturing environment.
Previous experience with precision machining and CNC programming.
Authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

Develop, validate, and optimize CNC machining processes for new and existing components.
Program CNC milling and turning operations for efficient and accurate machining.
Select tooling, cutting parameters, and fixturing to maximize quality and efficiency.
Create and revise CNC programs and setup documentation.
Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability.
Analyze cost drivers to eliminate waste and improve productivity.
Interpret drawings and 3D models to meet design intent and functional requirements.
