Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking an experienced machinist to setup and operate CNC lathes and mills across multiple parts with tight tolerances. You will read complex blueprints and engineering specs, adjust tooling, and verify programs using IGF software.

Helper roles include training less experienced team members. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years in a high-tech machining environment.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and five or more years related machining experience in a high technology manufacturing environment.
• Able to set up and run a minimum of five CNC machine types.
• Reads, understands, and follows blueprints, complex drawings, engineering specifications, and informal written or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Runs multiple machines efficiently and adapts tooling to meet production needs.
• Creates standard machining programs using IGF Software and verifies them.
• Sets up and operates CNC lathes/mills with close tolerances and multiple piece stations.
• Interprets customer requirements from blueprints and engineering specs.
• Inspects finished parts using precision measuring instruments and maintains calibration schedules.
• Trains and mentors less experienced team members.
