Job summary

Molex is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment, producing precision aerospace components. You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure repeatable processes and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNC machining experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical docs.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and tolerances; detail-oriented and safe.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and process docs.
• Load materials, fixtures, tooling and verify setup before production.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust tools/offsets to maintain quality.
• Perform in-process and final inspections with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
• Ensure conformance to specifications and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and escalate as needed.
• Replace cutting tools and maintain tooling items.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and housekeeping.
• Accurately complete production records and inspection docs.
• Support first article inspections and process validation.
• Participate in continuous improvement focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
