Job summary

Precinmac, a leading precision manufacturer, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our Westfield, MA operations. You will set up and run Fanuc-controlled machines, interpret drawings and GD&T, and ensure every part meets tight tolerances on aerospace-grade components.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Proficiency with Fanuc CNC controls.
• Proven ability to machine complex, high-precision components.
• Strong knowledge of precision machining techniques, tooling, and dimensional inspection.
• Ability to maintain tight tolerances and meet strict quality standards.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines, load and secure parts, prove out programs, adjust offsets, and perform minor program edits as needed.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, work instructions, and customer specifications.
• Inspect parts using precision measurement tools and make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure efficient, consistent, high‑quality production.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machines and keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for various materials and operations.
• Document production data, inspection results, and any deviations according to company/quality requirements.
• Collaborate closely with supervisors, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve machining challenges and improve processes.
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
