Job summary

Zenix Aerospace AMT/Damar is seeking a Machinist (Level 1–Journey) to operate NC machines and machining centers, fabricating aerospace parts to engineering specs under supervision. On‑the‑job training will help you set up jobs and ensure quality from the start.

You will set up, run, and inspect parts, read blueprints, and use shop tools to verify tolerances. Strong math ability and the use of MS Windows based systems are required. Day and night shifts with differential pay are available.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates good attitude, punctuality, and reliability for shift start.
• Follows instructions with strong attention to detail.
• Communicates well verbally and in writing.
• Good manual dexterity and spatial sense.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run, and maintain quality in a production environment with minimal supervision.
• Perform shop floor inspection using appropriate tools.
• Troubleshoot machining problems such as out-of-tolerance work and worn tooling.
• Dial in holes or edge-find and set machine offsets.
• Understand G & M code basics and operate within safety guidelines.
• Be versatile across multiple machine centers when needed.
• Meet standard times with required accuracy and safety.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
