Job summary

Aerotek in Gardena, CA is seeking a CNC Multi-Axis Machinist to set up and operate advanced aerospace multi-axis mills and lathes, including 4th/5th axis configurations, with tight tolerances.

You will select tooling, run programs on Fanuc controls, and verify parts using precision inspection tools, collaborating with engineering and quality teams.

This is a Contract to Hire role onsite, offering weekly pay and a pathway to full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC multi-axis machines in aerospace manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow tolerances.
• Ability to select and verify tooling and fixtures for multi-axis setups.
• Experience with 4th axis, 5-axis cores, and large aerospace parts.
• Familiarity with inspection tools and dimensional verification.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC multi-axis machines including 4th axis and 5-axis cores.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and workholding and verify via programs.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, gauges, and precision inspection tools.
• Maintain quality by following aerospace drawings and specs.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining issues.
• Document setup notes and inspection results.
