Job summary

Barnes Aerospace is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate 3, 4 and 5 axis milling, turning and grinding machines in a manufacturing environment. You’ll work in cells, load parts, adjust programs on Fanuc controls, read blueprints, and inspect parts with precision gauges.

Ideal candidates have experience setting up CNC jobs, reading operation sheets, and maintaining tight tolerances on aerospace components. A strong team player with math skills fits well; shift differential and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience setting up and changing over jobs on CNC equipment.
• Ability to read English and interpret operation sheets.
• Experience with precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling, turning and/or grinding machines.
• Run multiple machines simultaneously in cells or machining centers.
• Machine hard metals such as Inconel, titanium, and stainless steel.
• Load parts and fixtures using hoists and position workpieces safely.
• Make program offsets and adjustments using Fanuc controls.
• Read and interpret blueprints and CNC programs at the machine.
• Set up tools using tool sheets and ensure proper configuration.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure specs.
