Barnes Aerospace in East Hartford, CT is hiring for immediate CNC machinist openings across 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. You'll operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes, work with hard metals, and run cells to maximize throughput.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Live within commutable distance to East Hartford, CT or East Granby, CT.
• Experience setting up and changing over CNC jobs.

Responsibilities

• Operate 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling, turning and/or grinding machines.
• Run multiple machines in manufacturing cells or machining centers.
• Machine hard metals like Inconel, titanium, and stainless steel.
• Load parts and fixtures using hoists; position workpieces safely.
• Make program offsets and adjustments using Fanuc controls.
• Read and interpret blueprints and CNC programs at the machine.
• Set up tools using tool sheets and ensure proper configuration.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools to ensure specs.
