Job summary

Inversion is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to develop, optimize, and support CNC programs for machining components and tooling. The ideal candidate has experience in CNC machining processes to ensure high-quality, precise, and repeatable production.

The role requires in-office presence at our Playa Vista, CA headquarters with a California hourly rate of $30.00–$37.00. ITAR requirements apply; U.S. citizenship or eligible status is needed.

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years CNC set-up experience on 5-axis mills and lathes.
• Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, TNC-7, and Haas.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances up to 0.0001.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
• Experience machining aerospace alloys (aluminum, titanium, Inconel).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented, eager to learn and grow.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain U.S. government Secret/Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with live tooling.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Select, install, and maintain tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Monitor machining runs and ensure parts meet print specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues; recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate closely with programmers to maintain efficient workflows.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
