Job summary

Leoforce is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for 2nd shift in Bloomfield, CT. You will set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment to manufacture close-tolerance aerospace components from detailed blueprints.

The role requires 3+ years of CNC experience, strong GD&T skills, and proficiency with precision measurement tools. You will work with a range of machines including turning, milling, Swiss, and multi-axis setups.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Able to independently set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, Swiss machines, or mill-turn equipment.
• Strong blueprint-reading and GD&T interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning, milling, Swiss, or multi-axis machining equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, work instructions, and aerospace specifications.
• Install and qualify tooling, workholding, fixtures, collets, jaws, and cutting tools.
• Establish work coordinates and make tool, wear, and geometry offset adjustments.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Maintain close tolerances and verify dimensional conformity throughout production.
• Troubleshoot dimensional variation, tooling wear, and surface-finish issues.
• Perform machine prove-outs and verify CNC programs.
• Optimize feeds, speeds, tooling, and machining processes as needed.
• Machine aerospace-grade materials such as stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and aluminum.
