Job summary

Belcan is seeking an experienced Machining Supervisor to lead its Mid Shift in Ogden, UT. This hands-on manufacturing leadership role oversees CNC machinists and machine shop personnel, ensuring production goals, quality standards, safety, and customer commitments are met.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of CNC supervision experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years in supervisory or leadership roles in CNC/precision manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining operations and machine shop processes.
• Experience supervising machinists and CNC operators.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and blueprints.
• Proven leadership, communication, and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations in the Machine Shop and lead CNC machinists.
• Ensure production schedules, quality requirements, and delivery commitments are met.
• Promote a safe working environment and ensure policy compliance.
• Mentor and develop machinists through performance management and training.
• Monitor OEE, utilization, scrap, and throughput to improve performance.
• Coordinate staffing and workflow to optimize machine shop efficiency.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
