Job summary

Petersen is seeking an Equipment Tech Supervisor in Ogden, UT to lead a skilled team responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting CNC equipment. The role focuses on improving quality, safety, and equipment efficiency while coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of leadership experience, strong CNC skills, and knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, and Allen Bradley controllers.

Qualifications

• Years of experience repairing CNC equipment.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Technical knowledge of CNC machines.
• Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, and Allen Bradley controllers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all operations and equipment tech personnel.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Organize and prioritize maintenance calls and preventive maintenance work orders.
• Hire, train, and support new employees.
• Document employee records (times, certificates, status, disciplinary actions, terminations, retirements, etc.).
• Monitor quality of workmanship.
• Help communicate company clarity and vision.
• Drive team focus and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Maintain team discipline through company policies and team resiliency.
• Provide team engagement through training and problem solving.
• Provide support with technical knowledge of CNC machinery, mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Provide support with blueprints reading, specification clarity, using precision instrumentation and hand tools.
• Business aptitude to communicate in meetings and relay pertinent information to others.
