Job summary

Barnes Aerospace, West Chester Division is seeking a Laser Operator for the 3rd shift to support manufacturing operations. The role requires self-motivation with a safety- and quality-focused mindset and reports to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC laser and related machines, interpreting drawings, tooling decisions, and using precision measuring tools to ensure tolerances and quality. Strong computer skills with Word/Excel are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Setup and program machinery to cut sheet material and create fixtures per customer specifications.
• Analyzes drawings and specifications to determine tooling and processes.
• Inspect tools to verify tolerance per customer specifications.
• Daily maintenance and cleaning of machines; align machines when issues arise.

Responsibilities

• Set-Up and operation on CNC Laser and other production machines (lathes, mills).
• Understand and solve issues with machinery and materials.
• Use measuring devices and tools to identify material types and thickness.
• Utilize inspection tools like calipers, mics, overlays, and pin gauges.
