Job summary

TruFit Staffing is seeking an experienced Quality CMS Operator & Programmer to join a growing aerospace manufacturing team in Auburn, WA. You will program and operate CMS, including laser scanners and CMM equipment, to inspect aerospace components and ensure compliance with engineering specs.

This role emphasizes GD&T, AS9100 knowledge, and the ability to read CAD data, CATIA/SolidWorks models, and 3D data to support FAIRs and inspection planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years Aerospace Quality Assurance experience.
• Minimum 4 years CMS programming experience preferred.
• Experience programming and operating CMM and/or laser scanning equipment.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace inspection processes and dimensional inspection.
• Fluency in ASME Y14.5 and GD&T.
• Working knowledge of ASME Y14.41 and Digital Product Definition (DPD).
• Strong understanding of AS9100 and AS9102 requirements.
• Knowledge of Boeing quality and engineering documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret aerospace engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CMS, including laser scanners and CMM equipment.
• Perform optical and dimensional inspections using drawings, CAD models, and CATIA data.
• Create and maintain inspection reports tied to drawings and 3D models.
• Support FAIRs, including AS9102 Form 3.
• Develop and coordinate part inspection plans with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.
• Perform First Article and final product inspections as needed.
• Identify quality concerns and help reduce internal scrap.
• Read complex 2D aerospace drawings and apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Interpret DPD requirements per ASME Y14.41.
• Interrogate CAD data to confirm product conformance.
