Job summary

Apptad Inc. is seeking a CMM Programmer for an onsite role in Midland, Georgia. You will develop and validate CMM programs, inspect aerospace components, and interpret drawings, GD&T, and OEM specs.

Responsibilities include First Article Inspections, data generation for internal and customer submissions, and collaborating with QA and manufacturing to resolve metrology issues. Proficiency with Calypso and Camio is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate ability to program CMMs for aerospace hardware.
• Experience interpreting GD&T per AS9102 or aerospace specs.
• Ability to perform First Article Inspections and generate reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and validate complex CMM programs using Camio software.
• Perform dimensional inspection of aerospace engine hardware and precision features.
• Interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, GD&T, and OEM specs.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) under AS9102 guidelines.
• Generate accurate inspection reports and data for internal and external use.
• Collaborate with quality engineering, manufacturing, and machining teams to resolve issues.
• Validate CMM programs with dry runs, correlation checks, and repeatability tests.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of Zeiss CMM equipment and track revision control.
• Support corrective actions and continuous improvement in metrology processes.
• Develop macros/templates to improve inspection efficiency and consistency.
