Job summary

Zenix Aerospace Ketema is seeking a CMM Operator to operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine for inspecting machined parts, assemblies and tooling. You will assist with first article layouts, inspection procedures and manual dimensional inspection as needed.

Responsibilities include calibrating CMMs, loading fixtures, verifying programs, reading blueprints, and performing in-process inspections under FAA and customer requirements. On-site El Cajon location with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3 years of manufacturing related experience.
• Familiar with ANSI / ASME 14.5 GD&T standards.
• Experience with Calypso or PC-DMIS software preferred.
• Technical degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Calibrates CMM and loads parts/fixtures on CMM and starts programs.
• Performs periodic machine verification and reports data to engineering.
• Inspects and documents dimensional criteria and cosmetic conformance of parts and assemblies.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, and inspection instructions.
• Plans inspection procedures including layout, setup and calculations.
