Job summary

DRT Holdings, LLC is seeking a meticulous CMM Quality Inspector to join our aerospace manufacturing team in Winsted, CT. You will perform in-process and final inspections of precision machined components, interpret drawings and GD&T, and ensure conformance to AS9100 standards.

You will operate and program CMM equipment (PC-DMIS, Calypso or similar), document results, and collaborate with machining and engineering teams to drive root-cause analysis and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in quality inspection or CMM-related roles.
• Strong GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Experience operating CMM in manufacturing.
• Familiar with precision measuring tools.
• Attention to detail; quality-focused.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Preferred: aerospace or AS9100 experience.
• Preferred: CMM programming experience (PC-DMIS/Calypso).

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of aerospace machined components
• Operate and/or program CMM equipment (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar)
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, height stands, etc.)
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
• Identify non-conformances and support root cause analysis
• Collaborate with machining and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, customer specs)
