Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking an aerospace engineer focused on aircraft certification and airworthiness for MCDA projects. You will drive certification planning, work with regulators, and shape compliance documents throughout the product lifecycle.

You will collaborate across disciplines, support military and civilian standards, and pursue a Secret clearance while delivering high-assurance air systems for national security programs.

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace Engineering or related field; 6+ years in relevant work.
• Experience leading military aircraft certification per MIL-HDBK-516.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate certification planning activities to support airworthiness approval for MCDA projects.
• Participate in design and management reviews (PDR/CDR), preparing technical presentations.
• Collaborate with program management, engineering teams, SMEs, the FAA, and military customers to align certification requirements.
• Review compliance documentation for accuracy and regulatory adherence.
