Job summary

Wencor Group LLC is seeking an engineer to oversee all engineering and sourcing requirements. You will design aftermarket aircraft parts by reverse engineering and create CAD models and drawings for manufacturing and FAA submissions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and familiarity with ASME Y14.5 tolerances, aerospace manufacturing methods, and technical reporting. Travel may be involved up to 10% and proficiency in MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensional data.
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing methods and processes.

Responsibilities

• Design of commercial aircraft aftermarket parts by reverse engineering.
• Use measurement tools (micrometer, caliper) for dimensional data when needed.
• Create 3D CAD models and dimensional data reports from reverse engineering data.
• Create manufacturing drawings from reports and data.
• Manage multiple reverse engineering projects simultaneously.
• Prepare reports/data packages for FAA certification submissions.
• Assist in drawing and report checking.
