Job summary

Turing in San Francisco seeks an experienced Electrical/Mechanical CAD engineer to design and validate simulation-led tasks for AI model training. You will craft CAD models, build simulation workflows, and produce clear, reproducible results for aero, mech and elec components.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in CAD engineering, hands-on modeling, and strong fundamentals in aerospace/mechanical/electrical engineering, with proficiency across MATLAB, KiCad, FreeCAD, and OpenFOAM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in CAD engineering and simulation-focused roles.
• Strong fundamentals in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• Hands-on CAD modeling and simulation project experience.
• Ability to translate requirements into reproducible engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop CAD models and run aero, mech and elec simulations.
• Validate designs using CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS or MATLAB toolsets.
• Create simulation models, calculations, schematics and assets.
• Define inputs, constraints, operating conditions and acceptance criteria.
• Peer review submissions for technical correctness and completeness.
• Document methodologies and results; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
