Job summary

TheCorporate in Wallingford, CT is seeking a Design & Drafting Engineer to create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for aerospace components, tooling, fixtures, and assemblies. You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure designs meet technical requirements and are manufacturable.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years CAD drafting experience, strong GD&T skills, and proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Siemens NX, with a focus on precision manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years CAD design/drafting experience, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Siemens NX.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Experience creating detailed manufacturing and production drawings.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, layouts, assemblies, and supporting documentation.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and technical documentation.
• Apply GD&T principles to drawings and designs.
• Manage drawing revisions, configurations, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to ensure designs are producible and manufacturable.
• Support tooling, fixtures, jigs, and process-development equipment design.
• Assist teams in resolving production issues related to drawings or design.
• Support prototype, NPI, and production programs.
