Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to advance aerospace cable and harness design with a primary electrical focus and supporting mechanical integration. You will work within the EWIS team in Rancho Bernardo, contributing to high-power systems and payloads while collaborating across systems engineering and fabrication functions.

You will document interconnect architectures, support design reviews, and ensure compliance with MIL/NASA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering with progression in engineering roles.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and document electrical harnesses for aerospace and satellite systems.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure harness compatibility.
• Prepare design packages and support design reviews with schematics and harness drawings.
• Lead or assist IPT for cable and harness design, meeting cost, schedule, and performance goals.
• Guide and mentor junior staff and develop CAD library resources.
