Job summary

Zenix Aerospace AMT/Damar is seeking a Buyer at the Damar site in Monroe, WA to support production materials, vendor management, and cost controls. You will work with engineering, quality, and planning teams to ensure on-time delivery and conformance to AS9100 standards.

The role offers growth through level progression (1-2) and a daytime, Monday–Friday schedule in a manufacturing setting with aerospace focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Five years of purchasing or related technical experience.
• Knowledge in purchasing methods and techniques.
• Capable of working with various software applications.
• Intermediate MS Office and keyboarding.
• Aerospace related experience.
• Five years’ experience in MRP/ERP.
• APICS training/certification in Basics of Supply Chain Management.
• Lean and/or Six Sigma expertise a plus.

Responsibilities

• Uphold customer and industry quality standards (AS9100).
• Follow cost reduction/containment policies and procedures.
• Maintain and control suppliers/vendors within approval guidelines.
• Communicate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Planning, Facilities.
• Issue purchase orders for production materials and services to suppliers.
• Purchase non-contracted items as required per requisitions.
• Establish, maintain, and provide status reports on POs.
• Identify and convey supplier risks to management.
• Expedite late deliveries with management approval.
• Assist in training and reviewing Buyers.
