Job summary

Component Repair Technologies in Mentor, OH is seeking a Blast Operator to perform aerospace blast processes, material removal and surface preparation for turbine engine components. You will work with aluminum oxide and plastic media, learn blast equipment, and take on increasing responsibilities as you gain experience.

The role includes strong safety training, hands-on operation, and opportunities for advancement within CRT's aerospace MRO operations.

Qualifications

• Two years of manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with pressure gauges.
• Basic shop math including decimals and fractions.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to read work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
• Operate blast equipment and blast tanks per instructions.
• Masking and taping parts for blasting.
• Set up blast machines and maintain equipment.
• Secure supplies and perform routine inspections.
• Maintain equipment with hand tools.
• Use overhead crane and lifting equipment.
• Read and interpret work instructions.
• Communicate issues to supervisors.
