Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Greenwood, IN is seeking a Bench Technician for a local aerospace engineering company. You will perform mechanical work requiring fitting, alignment and adjustment of aerospace products on the bench.

The role involves using tools and machines like lathes, mills, and surface grinders; HS diploma or GED is required; schedule is Mon-Thu 6:00 AM–4:30 PM with possible overtime, and benefits include medical/dental/vision, PTO, 401K match, and cross-training pay.

Qualifications

• Must have a mechanical aptitude and the ability to use a wide variety of hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and work instructions.
• Must have HS diploma or GED.
• Experience using lathes, mills, surface grinders is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fit, align and adjust aerospace products on the bench.
• Stretch, bend, straighten, shape, pound or press metal to specification using various tools and machines.
• Work with hammer, lathe, mills, surface grinders and other equipment to achieve tolerances.
