Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated seeks a Bench Mechanic in Gardena, CA to read blueprints, deburr parts, and prepare sheet metal assemblies. You will remove burrs, smooth edges, and use measuring tools to maintain strict tolerances while following ISO procedures.

Expect a manufacturing environment with safety emphasis and opportunities for project leadership. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, 1–3 years of experience, and the ability to work with hand tools, gauges, and precision

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches and product specs.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and deburring preferred.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail for tight tolerances.
• Able to follow safety policies and ISO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and product specs.
• Perform deburring operations and strip maskant from parts.
• Remove burrs and sharp edges with hand tools.
• Smooth edges using abrasives and proper equipment.
• Operate burring equipment and inspect tolerances with gauges.
• Ensure hazardous waste handling compliance and safety.
• Lead projects or contribute to committees as needed.
