Job summary

Service Steel Aerospace is seeking a Saw Operator to join our Wichita team on the 2nd shift (Mon–Fri 2:00 pm–10:30 pm). You will pull material, verify specs, and set up and operate band saws to cut aluminum, alloy, stainless steel, titanium and other exotic metals.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, loading stock with forklift or crane, adjusting blade speeds, inspecting parts with calipers and tape measures, and ensuring quality and safety procedures in a fast-paced, team-based

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to learn multiple functions in a complex industry.
• Able to work in a team.
• Knowledge of operating band saws.
• Good math skills including measurements.

Responsibilities

• Pull material and verify specs, process through band/plate saws.
• Set up and operate saws to cut aluminum, alloy, stainless steel, titanium and other metals.
• Read work orders for material, type, size, and dimensions to be cut.
• Load/transfer stock using forklift or crane and input data for band saw parameters.
• Follow safety procedures and quality inspections.
