Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Lenexa, KS is hiring for an Assembly / Test I. You will perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, testing, and fabrication operations on a 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm) after first-shift training.

You’ll read drawings, use hand and electrical tools, and ensure quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience in assembly/manufacturing.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience in assembly/manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, and BOMs to ensure accurate assembly.
• Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, and measuring equipment for assembly tasks.
• Maintain inventory at your workstation for ongoing production needs.
• Perform quality checks and record defects for corrective action.
• Rework/repair assembled equipment per engineering changes to meet quality standards.
• Adhere to quality standards and safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and promote safe practices.
• Lift up to 25 lbs with/without accommodation; stand up to 8 hours daily.
• Be open to international travel for required training.
