Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, KS is seeking an Assembly Technician to join the Spirit Commercial team supporting Boeing programs. You will assemble, inspect and test parts, working from drawings and process specs to ensure timely delivery of quality products.

You will use precision measuring tools, perform routine maintenance, and assist in training other assembly personnel. This is a union-represented position with potential for overtime and shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Aircraft sheet metal experience required or completed Aero Structural Training.
• Must be able to work on concrete floors and in confined spaces.
• Overtime and shift work may be required to meet production needs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, form, functional test and inspect parts and assemblies from drawings and specs to deliver quality products.
• Use shop math and precision measuring tools to complete work and test assemblies.
• Utilize tooling to assemble components into sub-assemblies or end items.
• Verify compliance with work instructions and identify discrepancies.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment per procedure.
