Job summary

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking an Assembly First Level Manager to lead a team in constructing aerostructures at our Kinston, NC site. You will supervise assembly of subassemblies, mating of structural components, and installation of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with appropriate fasteners and testing.

Ideally you bring 5+ years in manufacturing, strong leadership, and excellent English communication to interface with engineering, procurement, and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree OR 4 years of experience in manufacturing.
• At least 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with multiple cross-functional groups (Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, etc.)
• At least 5 years experience in a leadership/management role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to articulate complex issues and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Lead team in assembling complex aerostructures and ensure production requirements are met.
• Oversee assembly of components into subassemblies and installation of systems.
• Interface with engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and acceptance.
• Lead continuous improvement and coordinate with cross-functional groups; ensure timely delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.
