Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Production Assembler I for the Manchester, CT facility. The role involves assembling aerospace components to customer specifications on the 2nd shift (4:00 PM–12:30 AM), with a 10% shift differential.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, using hand and power tools, and ensuring quality through inspections and traceability. The position emphasizes strict safety and ITAR compliance, teamwork with engineering and QA, and maintaining accurate production

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Excellent manual dexterity and strong attention to detail are essential for working with intricate components and precision assembly.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Quality focus and compliance with standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork with co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to lift and move heavy components.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aerospace components per customer specifications.
• Work 2nd shift: 4pm–12:30am, Monday–Friday with 10% differential.
• Read and interpret engineering instructions, travelers and blueprints.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assemble materials to spec.
• Inspect parts visually and with calipers/micrometers for conformance.
• Record production and assembly activities for traceability.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA to resolve issues and drive improvements.
