Orion Industries in Alabama is seeking an assembler to perform drilling, reaming, riveting, and other assembly tasks on aerospace components. You will set up tools, ensure GD&T conformance, and maintain a safe, clean work environment while mentoring program participants and supporting process improvements.

The role requires proficiency with blueprints, Epicor, MS Office, and BAC assembly processes, with strong attention to detail and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Formación

• Knowledge of and comfort with computer systems and programs, including Microsoft Office Suite and Epicor.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and follow assembly sequences.
• Ability to perform mid-level math and use measurements.
• Ability to be trained and certified in BAC assembly processes.

Responsabilidades

• Perform drilling, reaming, countersinking, set up, riveting, bonding and other assembly duties using hand and power tools.
• Perform tool set-ups as required by specifications.
• Ensure parts meet GD&T specifications using calipers, micrometers and height gauges.
• Mentor and train other technicians and program participants.
• Conduct weekly 6S program to improve workflow and safety.
• Handle hazardous materials safely and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and greater efficiency.
