Job summary

Primus Aerospace, a leading aerospace manufacturer in Colorado, seeks an Assembly Technician for set up, grinding, and polishing to remove burrs and prepare surfaces to blueprint specifications. This entry-level role offers training in high-tolerance parts and aerospace processes, with a 3rd shift schedule (Fri–Sun, 6am–6:30pm) and a pay rate of $24–$28 per hour for 36 hours paid as 40.

You will read blueprints, polish parts, maintain station inventories, and ensure quality and safety standards

Qualifications

• Soldering experience; IPC-610 and J-STD-001 certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Hand soldering skills for through hole and surface mount components

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials to assemble equipment and products
• Grind, sand, clean, or polish to correct defects or prepare surfaces using hand and power tools
• Maintain inventory of product in work stations
• Rework and repair assembled equipment per engineering changes
• Ensure work meets quality standards and safety procedures
• Verify quality by inspection against templates and measurements
• Move controls to operate grinding and polishing equipment
• Load and position workpieces onto equipment or tables
• Mark defects and study layouts to lay out workpieces
• Operate manual mill and/or lathe when required
