Job summary

Primus Aerospace in Lakewood, CO is seeking an Assembly Technician to set up, operate, assemble, grind and polish metal parts per customer drawings. You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and verify tolerances on finished workpieces. This entry-level position offers Mon-Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm and a pay rate of $24–$28 per hour.

Soldering experience and IPC-610/J-STD-001 familiarity are preferred; U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in soldering; IPC-610 and J-STD-001 preferred.
• Hand soldering skills for through hole and surface mount.
• Ability to obtain security clearance (preferred).
• Good manual dexterity and steady hands are essential.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and follow diagrams to assemble equipment per specifications.
• Grind, sand, clean, or polish objects to correct defects and prepare surfaces.
• Maintain inventory of product in work stations.
• Rework and repair assembled equipment according to changes.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards; inspect finished parts.
