Job summary

Triumph in Shelbyville, IN is seeking anAssembler 1 to perform hand assembly, inspection and related tasks on aerospace and industrial components. You will follow assembly drawings and use basic measuring tools to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; read, write and understand English at a high school graduate level; 1–2 years of hand assembly experience with micrometers.
• Soldering or brazing preferable.

Responsibilities

• Read assembly drawings, identify parts and assembly sequence documentation.
• Assemble, fit, file, ream, rivet, crimp, swage, adjust and inspect.
• Disassemble, repair and reassemble returned or salvaged units.
• Detect defective or incorrect parts and request replacements.
• Assist in set-up of equipment.
• Operate light machines and tools (spot welder, drill press, arbor press, oven, presses) and hand tools.
• Use gauges, calipers, dial indicators and related measuring devices.
• Report unusual conditions to Production Tech or Supervisor.
• Contribute to team and continuous improvement efforts.
• Follow company policies, procedures and work instructions.
