Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring an Aerospace Assembler in Tucson, AZ, for 2nd shift (2:00 PM-10:30 PM) with training on 1st shift (6:00 AM-2:30 PM). Pay ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.

The role involves assembling aerospace components per drawings, inspecting finished work, and maintaining safe, efficient production. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and experience with mechanical assembly, blueprints, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous assembly, manufacturing, or production training is beneficial.
  • read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble aerospace components and subassemblies using drawings, work instructions, and bills of material.
  • Perform mechanical assembly tasks including fastening, torquing, pinning, and installing hardware and inserts.
  • Verify part numbers, revisions, and quantities throughout the assembly process.
  • Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure they meet engineering and quality standards.
  • Use hand tools, torque equipment, and precision measuring instruments safely and accurately.
  • Document completed work and maintain accurate production records.
  • Follow quality procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-conscious work area.
  • Support production goals while ensuring compliance with aerospace manufacturing standards.

As an Aerospace Assembler, you will build and assemble aerospace components and subassemblies using detailed drawings, bills of material, and work instructions.

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous assembly, manufacturing, or production training is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
  • Mechanical assembly experience using hand tools and torque equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and work instructions
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 standards is a plus
  • Clean room or controlled-environment experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous factory, manufacturing, production, assembly, or warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Experience working on production lines or assembling mechanical, electrical, or consumer products is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection, Lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Aerospace Assembler.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift components, materials, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to safely handle parts and operate assembly tools or equipment.
  • Ability to maintain productivity in a factory environment while following established safety procedures.
