Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in Northborough, MA is seeking an Aerospace Application Engineer to deliver technical support and expertise to aerospace customers. You will work with R&D, manufacturing, and sales to solve complex challenges and drive design reviews.

Responsibilities include defining technical needs, creating engineering documentation, and supporting product development and demonstrations. Travel is ~10% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline.
• 3 years of engineering experience, preferably in a customer-facing role.
• 2 years’ experience with CAD and engineering software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, or NX).
• 2 years’ experience in product design, including complex surfaces, assemblies, and kinematics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

• Complete intermediate preliminary design reviews for new business opportunities.
• Complete intermediate critical design reviews for new product development.

• Support the sales team by providing technical information and product demonstrations.
• Process engineering change requests internally and externally.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction (R&D, manufacturing, sales).
• Engineering approver for engineering documentation reviews.
• Partner with 3rd party suppliers as needed to support product gaps.

Summary Of The Role

As an Aerospace Application Engineer (AE) at Trelleborg, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our customers in the aerospace industry. Our aerospace group at Trelleborg provides customers with innovative polymer solutions for applications ranging from airframe & engine to interiors. In this role, you will work with customers to understand their technical needs and provide solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams such as R&D, manufacturing, and sales to ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong background in engineering and a passion for problem-solving.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline
• 3 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in a customer-facing role with a Master's degree counting as 2 years of experience
• 2 years’ experience with CAD and engineering software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, or NX)
• 2 years’ experience in product design, including experience with complex surfaces, assemblies, and kinematics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

Application

The final compensation offered to the candidate may be based on geographical location, work experience and/or skill level. Additions to the compensation package, including but not limited to paid time off, insurance benefits and 401(k) eligibility, will be outlined at the time of the job offer.

Compensation range: $90,000-$130,000
