Job summary

Varda Space Industries in Los Angeles offers a summer internship in our Aerodynamics department. Interns will run CFD simulations, support wind tunnel campaigns, and analyze aerodynamic loads and thermal environments for our flight vehicles.

Qualifications

• Coursework in compressible fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and numerical methods.
• Experience with CFD tools and Linux-based systems; Python and/or MATLAB programming.
• Currently pursuing or completed a Master’s in Aerodynamics or Numerical Methods.

Responsibilities

• Run CFD simulations to analyze vehicle performance.
• Support wind tunnel campaigns and post-process data.
• Collaborate with engineers on aerodynamic loads and thermal environments.
• Contribute to vehicle design improvements using simulation/test data.
