Job summary

Varda Space Industries is seeking motivated engineering students for a propulsion-focused internship in Los Angeles, CA. You will work on hardware and software design for spacecraft or payloads, contribute to test campaigns, and perform analyses across the development lifecycle.

Interns must be actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program and be available to work full-time on-site. Collaborative, startup-style environment with mentorship from aerospace veterans is offered.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline such as Materials Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
• Familiarity with design software and principles (NX/Teamcenter, GD&T, Matlab/Python) and analysis packages.
• Prior hands-on experience building or testing fluid systems and propulsion components.

Responsibilities

• Own or contribute to hardware or software design to support spacecraft or payload development.
• Create or support test campaigns and build test stands.
• Perform analysis to support development and testing.
