Job summary

SpektreWorks, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations in a growing aerospace and defense business.

You will manage accounts payable/receivable, GL maintenance, reconciliations, payroll support, and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and comfortable collaborating with leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial experience.
• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Experience performing bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting and basic financial reporting.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• High accuracy and confidentiality with financial data.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely accounting records.
• Perform general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain supporting documentation for financial transactions.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and other accounts.
• Assist with internal financial reports and management reporting.
• Support external accountants, auditors, and tax professionals as required.
• Process vendor invoices and manage approvals.
• Match invoices with PO and receiving docs.
• Prepare vendor payments and maintain vendor records.
• Coordinate with purchasing and program personnel on invoice issues.
• Assist with employee expense reports and corporate card reconciliation.
• Monitor outstanding liabilities and upcoming payments.
