SST Direct in Hebron, KY is seeking a highly skilled 5-axis CNC Programmer with aerospace experience to develop, optimize, and maintain complex machining programs for tight-tolerance components. You will use Mastercam for advanced multi-axis programming, verify with Vericut, and work on Makino 5-axis machining centers and live-tooling lathes while collaborating with engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

3+ years CNC programming in aerospace manufacturing.
Proficient in 5-axis Mastercam programming.
Experience with Makino 5-axis machining centers and live-tooling lathe.

Responsibilities

Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for aerospace components using 5-axis Mastercam.
Create advanced multi-axis tool paths for complex geometries and hard-to-machine materials.
Program and support CNC lathes with live tooling (mill-turn).
Set up, prove out, and verify programs on Makino machines and lathes.
Perform Vericut simulations to ensure collision-free processes.
Interpret aerospace drawings, CAD models, and GD&T with high accuracy.
Select tooling and machining parameters for tight tolerances.
Troubleshoot issues to meet quality and repeatability standards.
