SST Direct in Hebron, KY is seeking an experienced 5-axis CNC Programmer for aerospace components. You will develop, write, and optimize complex programs for high-precision parts using Mastercam on Makino machining centers with live tooling, collaborating closely with engineering and production to meet exacting specifications in a demanding aerospace environment.

This role requires hands-on setup, verification, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Strong aerospace manufacturing experience in 5-axis programming.
Proficiency with Mastercam and Vericut required.
Experience with Makino high-end machining centers and live-tooling is essential.

Responsibilities

Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for complex aerospace components using 5-axis machining in Mastercam.
Create and refine advanced multi-axis tool paths for tight tolerances and difficult materials.
Program and support CNC lathes with live tooling for mill-turn aerospace applications.
Assist in setup, prove-out, and verification on Makino machines and CNC lathes.
Perform Vericut simulations to ensure collision-free, efficient machining.
