Jobot is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in California to set up, program, and operate 5-axis machines for precision parts. You will read complex blueprints, apply GD&T, and optimize tooling and speeds to meet tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC Machinist experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in operating and programming 5-axis CNC machines.
• Strong knowledge of precision machining, grinding, and related processes.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering plans.
• Proficient in using precision measurement tools.
• Excellent understanding of GD&T.
• Experience with tooling setup and adjustment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision parts.
• Interpret complex blueprints, engineering plans, and GD&T to plan machining activities.
• Perform precision machining operations, including grinding, to meet tight tolerances.
• Use precision measurement tools to ensure parts meet exact specifications.
• Select and set up the appropriate tooling for each job, and make adjustments as necessary.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Perform regular maintenance on machines, tools, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to improve machining processes and reduce setup times.
