AstroForge is hiring a Machinist Fabricator in Seal Beach, CA to program, set up, and run 5-axis CNC machines for high-precision aerospace parts. You will handle varied materials, develop fixtures, and work closely with engineering for manufacturability insights.

The role requires 3+ years in aerospace machining, proficiency with CAM/CAD tools (Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, NX), and experience with exotic materials.

Qualifications

3+ years in 5-axis CNC machining for aerospace/high-precision parts
Proficient with CAM/CAD tools (Mastercam/HyperMILL/Fusion 360; SolidWorks/Siemens NX)
Experience with exotic materials (titanium/Inconel/composites) and precision inspection tools

Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate 5-axis CNC machines to produce aerospace components
Work with aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and carbon composites
Develop fixturing/work-holding for prototypes
Provide DFM feedback with engineering and resolve complex geometries
Perform in-process inspections and first article verifications
Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions
Maintain workshop safety and documentation
