Job summary

ACL Digital is seeking an experienced Wire Design & Installation Engineer (Level 3) to join our Renton, WA team, supporting major commercial aircraft electrical design programs. You will focus on 3D wire routing design and installation across the aircraft, as well as developing electrical assembly and commodity designs.

Key responsibilities include 3D modeling, end-to-end wire routing, documentation, SOW development, and supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering or wire harness installation design.
• 3D Modeling experience.
• Proven experience with wire routing and harness design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry (or equivalent combination of education and experience). ABET accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cable/wire harness detail, assembly, and installation designs using 3D modeling tools.
• Perform end-to-end wire routing design throughout the airplane.
• Document processes, specifications, and procedures supporting electrical commodity design/manufacturing. Develop basic Statements of Work (SOW).
• Participate in technical reviews of supplier capabilities to support source selection.
