Job summary

Cts Technology Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Wire & Design Engineer in Renton, Washington. The role involves developing and maintaining wire harness designs and supporting electrical design programs. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of relevant experience and expertise in Catia v5 and 3D modeling.

This is a contract position for 4+ months with potential extension and full-time opportunities available. The engineer will work on wire routing designs throughout the airplane and contribute to technical reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Wire & Design Engineer.
• Experience in wire routing design.
• Familiarity with Catia v5 and 3D modeling.

Job description

Renton, Washington 4+ months Up to $79.00/Hour Contract Shift-1

Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs. Analyzes results and performs design reviews. Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas). Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests). Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Develops basic statements of work. Participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design. Works under general direction.

Project:

• Supporting the Electrical Design Programs.
• They will be working on a wire Installation project.
• They’ll be doing the wire routing design throughout the airplane.

4+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.

• Wire & Design Engineer Level 3:
• 1. Catia v5
• 2. 3D modeling
• 3. Some experience with wire routing design
• 4. 5+ years of experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
