Job summary

Pivotal in Palo Alto is seeking a Verification Engineer to support aero/mechanical systems. You will own verification from requirements through validation, coordinating across design, test, and fabrication.

The role requires CAD experience (CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE), hands-on testing, and developing test plans and reports. You will work with technicians and suppliers to build test hardware and ensure safety and reliability of our eVTOL platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree required in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Experience designing and testing aerospace systems.
• Strong CAD background and hands-on hardware testing.
• Experience with test plans and engineering reports.
• Knowledge of aerospace standards (DO-160, FAR Part 23).

Responsibilities

• Own verification of aeromechanical components and subsystems from requirements through validation.
• Translate verification methods into defined tests with acceptance criteria.
• Design test fixtures using CATIA and define instrumentation.
• Generate CAD releases and support fabrication.
• Work with technicians and suppliers to build test hardware.
• Develop detailed test plans including environmental and structural testing.
• Analyze data, identify failure modes, and drive corrective actions.
• Produce comprehensive test reports and support design reviews.
