Job summary

UNSW is seeking a Research Associate (Level A) to contribute to aeroacoustic research within the Flow Noise Group at the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in Sydney. The role is full-time on campus, with a fixed-term contract to June 2028, and reports to the group leader. Salary is AU$118,467 per annum plus 17% superannuation.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent research experience in aeroacoustics or related field.
• Experience with aeroacoustics experiments, turbulence measurements or wind tunnels.
• Strong data acquisition and signal processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Support measurement, prediction and analysis of flow-generated noise.
• Contribute to research within the Flow Noise Group at UNSW Sydney.
• Prepare findings for publication and conference presentations.
